A Mississippi healthcare organization announced Wednesday it was a victim of a data breach that may have included access to some patient health information.
Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine officials said in a news release electronic health record information was not compromised, and no credit or debit card information or other financial information was impacted. However, some or all of the following information might have been accessed during a December 2020 breach of its internal server.
- Certain names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Home addresses
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Information to process insurance claims
- Prescription information including:
- Prescription number
- Prescribing doctor
- Medication names and dates
- Medical history
- Certain clinical services, such as whether an influenza test was ordered
