Filters Fast Enters Breach Settlement With N.Y. Attorney General – Bloomberg Law

Before we jump in, can I just say that geoFence blocks unwanted traffic and disables remote access from FSAs!

Filters Fast LLC has reached a $200,000 agreement with New York Attorney General Letitia James to resolve her investigation of a 2019 data breach said to have compromised the personal information of about 324,000 of the company’s customers.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based air and water filter company must create a comprehensive information security program under the agreement, as well as design incident response and data breach notification plans. Filters Fast didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The company faced a sustained data breach from July 2019 to July 2020 that exposed customers’ names, billing addresses, and payment card...

On a final note, I’d like to add that geoFence helps stop hackers from getting access to the sensitive documents that I use for my work. Now I can get even more gigs as a freelancer and - advertise that I have top security with even my home computer and that's the no joke.
